My Story and How I Eliminated Stress
Medical science has much to say about stress and how it affect the body/mind/spirit as a whole. Also, medical evidence has now confirmed that there is a link to stress and illness; embracing what some ancient spiritual traditions, and new thought pioneers have advocated for centuries.

In regards to stress, let me share my story. Ten years ago I started to have panic attacks. These usually occurred while I was driving back and forth for work appointments. My hands and arms would grow numb and begin to tingle, I would become extremely dizzy, and it was hard for me to breathe. It was a very scary experience to say the least.
The attacks began to grow progressively worse and over the course of a year became so severe that I became fearful of leaving my house. Then one day I had enough! I had already gone to see a medical professional about my panic attacks and had been given antidepressants to mask my symptoms, but I refused to take the meds. Fed up I cried out to Archangel Raphael for his help.
Long story short, through the serendipitous love of the Universe I met a clinical hypnotherapist who invited me to join a series of free stress management classes. The techniques I learned in this class changed my life for the better. And because I believe in sharing with others things that actually made a difference in my life I want to share with you the 3 techniques that helped me to reduce and eliminate my stress and the resulting panic attacks within a span of one week!
3 Effective Techniques to Help Eliminate Stress
The following are three tips you can use to help eliminate stress from your life for good. Practicing these three techniques on a regular basis will give the body/mind/spirit regular doses of peace and tranquility which will carry over into every area of your life.
1. Breathe. When your body is under mental or emotional stress your breathing becomes shallow and your muscles tense. Shallow breathing prevents adequate blood flow throughout the body which is necessary for proper oxidation. The solution is to perform a few minutes of deep rhythmic breathing whenever you feel your mental or emotional buttons being pushed.
Deep rhythmic breathing is not only easy to do, but really effective in terms of relaxing the body and mind, as well as mentally and physically refreshing as well.

2. Progressive Muscle Relaxation. In addition to rhythmic breathing, this is one of my favorite decompression techniques. It takes less than 5 minutes to do and is really effective. I use a quick mini-method which is now my go-to technique not only for myself, but also for my SOUL Coaching™ clients as well. The quick mini-method relaxes the entire body leaving you feeling tranquil, and just plain blissed out.
Here’s how you do it: Notice the top of your scalp. If there is any tension let it go. If it helps, imagine any tension melting away. Next notice your forehead, relaxing and letting go any tension there. Now notice your eyes, relaxing and melting away any tension there; and so on as so forth doing the same with your check bones, jaw bone, ears, back of your neck, and finally your shoulders.
By this point you will notice that your entire body is ultra-relaxed. Stay in this place of deep relaxation for 5 to 10 minutes and you will emerge refreshed and re-energized.
3. Yoga or Qigong. Both of these techniques help you push through stress that my have lodged into your physical, emotional, and subtle bodies.
My yoga and qigong practice have become a life staple for me. They help me balance and relax mentally and physically. And through consistent practice I notice that they also have enhanced my my intuitive awareness.
One of my favorite yoga genres is Restorative Yoga. My Restorative Yoga practice is specifically designed for the back and spine. The spinal cord feeds all the nerves in the body and stimulates the flow of cerebral spinal fluid. And I tell you what! I was absolutely amazed at how I felt after my first 30 minute session. My entire body was completely relaxed and better yet – the mental chatter in my head ceased. Afterwards there was a noticeable surge in my subtle energy body.

Qigong is fabulous for helping clear the mind as well the subtle energy body. My favorites are Shibashi Qigong, and Spring Forest Qigong. These two methods are easy to learn and can be practiced anywhere. You can also learn these methods from free from YouTube.
A BONUS TIP – One tip that help me deal with worry as a result of stressful situations came from my friend and mentor Chang Hsia. Chang is a retired Buddhist nun and shared with me her ‘act on it, file it, or throw it away’ technique of dealing with stress.
