How to Energetically Clear Angel Oracle Cards
Knowing how to energetically clear angel oracle cards is a valuable knowledge resource. Everything is made up of energy, and sometimes energy can get a bit stagnant and slow.
When this happens to your angel oracle cards, you may find it hard to know when to stop shuffling your cards, or feel as if your connection with your cards is somehow off; causing your readings to feel strained or muddled – almost as if the cards do not want to cooperate with you. This is a sure sign that your cards need to be cleared. Here’s how . . .
What is the purpose of energetically clearing and cleansing a deck?
The goal is to remove negative or blocked energy and get it moving again, as well as to personally connect with your cards.
Since your Angel Oracle cards form an intimate energetic connection to you, they will be particularly attuned to your unique energy vibration. This means that if you have gone through a major life shift (i.e. divorce, major health crisis, birth of a child etc…), spiritual changes, or even changed your attitude about reading cards, it can impact your energetic relationship with your cards.
Energy in your cards can also be influenced by other people; such as anyone who has handled your cards (with our without your permission), as well as from readings you have done for others. This means that new card decks, or card decks which haven’t been used in a while, need to be cleansed and a charged prior to working with them.
And if you use your cards on a regular basis, it is of extreme importance to energetically clear and charge your cards regularly, preferably after each session.
There are various methods to do this, but I have found that the following four methods to not only be simple, but fast.
Four Easy Methods to Clear and Charge Oracle Cards
1. Quartz Crystal – Place a quartz crystal on top of your deck; after you perform a reading, and in between readings. Quartz crystals are fantastic for energetically clearing any lingering energies from your oracle card deck. If you keep your deck in a silk cloth, bag, or box, just place a crystal there and store a crystal with your deck.
2. Knuckle Rap – Hold the deck of cards in your non-dominant hand and rap the middle knuckle of your dominant hand on the top of the deck a few times. Imagine white light filtering through the deck, clearing it of all stagnant energy debris. I use this method after each reading.
3. Simple Prayer to Archangel Michael – Prayer is a wonderful and powerful energetic clearing and cleansing method. Here is the simple prayer to Archangel Michael that I enjoy using with great effect: “Archangel Michael please clear away any energies from these cards that are not of God’s Love and Light.” Next Hold the deck to your chest and imagine golden light surrounding your cards, and re-dedicate your cards for the highest good of all you read for, including yourself.
4. Full Sun Light – Get your cards outside and place them in an area where there is full sun, for a few hours. Angel Oracle Cards love to soak up full sun energy. Getting your cards outside can be a nice energetic change if you do mostly indoor readings. To protect your cards from other natural elements such as wind, water, birds, and pets, I recommend putting your cards inside a clear plastic bag or container first.
Finally, in closing remember that the power does not emanate from your Angel Oracle Card deck, but from God and the Angels working inside of you and through you. The card deck in and of itself, has no intrinsic value or worth. It is, after all, simply paper or cardboard. So even though I shared with you the methods I use to energetically cleanse and clear my cards, only use the cleansing and clearing methods suggested if they feel right to you.
Angel Oracle cards are a unique and individual spiritual tool to help you communicate with heaven, so again, which means the most powerful and beneficial energetic cleansing and clearing techniques the ones that resonate with you the most, and/or the ones that you create. So trust in Spirit, and in yourself. The results may surprise you.
